healthy haiiiir
So I started working in this salon about two weeks ago and we use Scrupples color. At first, i was sooo confused because the formulas are all messed up and crazy. 1/4 oz of oil lighetener 1/4 oz of scrupples powder lightener.. blah blah. It's crazy. But then i started reading into it and man, is this color line awesome! So the bleach is mixed with the toner in it. SO that means that i cut my highlighting time in half :D how awesome! now, i dont have to put in a toner after wards because my highlights come out perfect everytime. And its even more awesome because the oil lightener that is mixed in with the bleach and color prevents the bleach from drying the hair out. So your hair stays nice and healthy no matter what volume peroxide you use. Pretty narly huh? you should check it out.

So i have platinum blond hair. And i added deep purple in it. I did a one inch parting all around my head... well with the exception on my bangs. and well, I covered whatever wasn't going to be colored with biolage conditioner (super thick stuff) And i still got a little bit of bleeding. sucks. Do you guys have any tips on how to not haven't hat happen? so now i have a blueish tint to some parts of my blond. oh well, it still looks awesome :)
TADA!:

i know cholesterol might have worked, but i didn't think of it until AFTER i had the color washed out. HAHA.

Green hair Sucks.
Ok, maybe green hair is pretty awesome when it happens on purpose, but when you jump in a pool and your hair turns green, that sucks! So now what? Well.. a little trick I learned to get that green tint out of your hair is tomato juice and white vinegar. yeah, it smells like death, but man does it work wonders. The red from the tomato juice counteracts the green from the algae (yeah, algae turns your hair green, not chlorine) in pools, and the vinegar just helps open the cuticle and lift the green tint out. It sounds crazy but it really works! Ive tried it myself. and It not only works for pool water, but it also works for when you turn your hair green accidentally by throwing an ash-based blond to your already blond head (yeah, that was a color correction i had a hell of a time with). I like to experiment a lot.. and well when something works, i'll let you guys know so you can try it... and if something epically fails.. well ill let you guys know as well so you DONT try it :)
Summertime Miracle mixture:
1 cup tomato juice
3 Tbl spoons white vinegar
mix it all up, rub it in your hair like shampoo, let your hair soak until you see the green tint come out, rinse REALLY REALLY well, repeat only if necessary.
tada! :D

Dirty hair rocks :)
So I don't wash my hair everyday (gross, right? haha) j/k its not gross at all. Your hair becomes oily if you wash it everyday. and oily hair kind of defeats the purpose of washing it everyday.... if that makes sense. The more you wash your hair, the more you strip it of its natural oils. And so as a result of that, your body produces more oil. and so on and so on. and i think i just repeated myself like 30 times haha. Anyway, yeah. So if you have oily hair, you can either put some baby powder in it (because that absorbs moisture) or you can start training your hair by skipping the "lather, rinse, repeat" step every other day. Invest in a shower cap :)
oh and on top of just helping reduce oils, not washing your hair everyday helps in styling too. It makes it so much easier to style when the hair is unwashed. you ever tried to do an updo on someone who just washed their hair? IMPOSSIBLE haha. I refuse. The buildup in the hair helps it hold its shape when you style and mold it. Pretty awesome if ya ask me ;)

Hair Product stuff...
I'm experimenting with different types of hair products... trying to find out what works best for me and the type of work I do. I found that I really like Bumble and Bumble's "curl conscious smoothing shampoo" its awesome! I like to wash the hair with this right before i do any type of updo or formal type style. It really brings the hairs natural waves out almost instantly :) I also love TIGI's Cool wax stick. man, that little thing is freakin ausome! :D what do you guys like? what do you suggest i try? :)

oh, FYI, Chino has SICK hair. so there. its about hair :p
dry hair sucks.
So ive been experimenting with my hair since i was like 10. -_- so my hair has taken quite a beating. Hell, if you know me personally, you know for a fact that i used to change my haircolor as much as 3 times a week... (not good, dont do it haha) well now that my hair is beyond platinum (that shit is WHITE), its also very very very dry. Ive been trying different things to add some moisture back in and to help retain the moisture. What i found that works really well is an olive pak from mid-kay. Its a deep conditioning treatment that you put in your hair. You then throw a showercap on and sit for an hour (or if you have a hooded dryer, 15 mins) and its only 3 bucks! freakin awesome :) its meant for ethnic hair but man does it work miracles for me :) I also use beyond the zone's "split mender" which is a leave in conditioner. Its really lightweight product so it doesnt leave yer hair flat and gross. Those two products are what work best for my beat up hair. What do you guys use? maybe ill give those products a try as well :)
